WITH CPR, THE BEAT GOES ON!

 This course is provided to first responders FREE from the NVFC. It was developed with the NVFC subject matter experts and the generous support of the General Motors Corporation and Kurt Vollmacher from Wingene, Belgium. It was designed to give responders more tolls necessary to go out & effectively mitigate incidents on Hybrid, Electric & other alternative fuels (AFVs). This is only the beginning; continue to find education in the ever-changing field. 

 The training program covers workplace safety topics, including tool use, forklift operation, and emergency preparedness. Key areas include hazard awareness, personal protective equipment, and injury prevention strategies like slips and falls. It also addresses lockout/tagout procedures and ladder safety. 

 Take your CPR and life-saving skills to the next level by becoming a certified Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor. This course equips participants with the knowledge, teaching techniques, and certification requirements needed to train others in BLS. Ideal for healthcare professionals, safety trainers, and workplace leaders. 

Prepare to respond confidently in the event of an active threat. This interactive training teaches Active Violence Emergency Response Training (AVERT) strategies, including how to recognize warning signs, make rapid safety decisions, respond under pressure, and provide emergency bleeding control until help arrives

 Understand the different types of fires and the correct fire extinguisher.  

 The "Fleet Driver" course is designed to provide professional drivers with the skills and knowledge necessary to safely operate and maintain fleet vehicles. The course covers defensive driving techniques, vehicle inspections, accident prevention, and compliance with industry regulations. Students will learn about the importance of fuel efficiency, cargo safety, and customer service. The course will also address the specific needs of different types of fleet operations. 

 The "Stop The Bleed" course is designed to teach individuals how to recognize and respond to life-threatening bleeding. The course provides hands-on training in bleeding control techniques and is suitable for anyone who may be in a position to help during an emergency, such as bystanders, first responders, and medical professionals. 

 The Advanced First Aid CPR and AED course provides comprehensive training on advanced first aid techniques, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide immediate and effective first aid in emergency situations. Topics covered include advanced assessment, airway management, oxygen administration, and the recognition and treatment of various medical emergencies.  

 Basic life support (BLS) class teaches essential lifesaving skills that can be used to help someone experiencing cardiac arrest, choking, or other life-threatening emergencies. The class covers chest compressions, rescue breathing, and proper AED (automated external defibrillator) use. Participants also learn how to recognize the signs of a heart attack, stroke, and choking. BLS certification is often required for healthcare providers, first responders, and lifeguards. 

 Learn the essential childcare techniques, emergency response protocols, child behavior management strategies, and much more from experienced instructors. 

  Teach you vital first aid skills specific to outdoor environments, such as treating injuries, assessing emergencies, and improvising with limited resources. 

 The emergency medical responder course is designed to provide training for individuals to respond to medical emergencies before more advanced medical personnel arrive on the scene. The course typically covers basic patient assessment, CPR and AED use, bleeding control, splinting, and emergency childbirth. It's an excellent starting point for those interested in entering the field of emergency medical services
